Why it is not wise to rely on self-righteousness, like Fea and Spatial

seem to, as professing Christians (this is the actual reason that I was correcting Feathers)

 

Matthew 7:21-23

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

 

Luke 13:23-28

23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,

24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

 

 

 

this is why it is so so important to humble yourselves, because only Jesus can show you the way to salvation, and to living more and more like Jesus and the apostles did and spending all of your time helping the weak, impoverished, sick, homeless, suffering and imprisoned, without wanting the praise and attention from the World, like the good Samaritan and Jesus and the apostles and disciples did

 

^  this is the true calling of Jesus, not lazing about on a forum posting about how righteous and holy you are and throwing a few scriptures in to show off how "good and saintly you are" and how "bad and evil" everyone else is

 

because these New Testament scripture passages show that many people will indeed use Jesus's name too boost their own self-righteousness, but then find out later on that they are rejected from eternal life, because they never truly followed the true Christian path of putting Jesus and his will first in their hearts, humbling themselves, and following living out the lifestyle of becoming a meek humble thankful servant of Jesus and of true righteousness

You really wanna see my take? I think you're taking scripture out of context first of all (on women being silent). 

1. Looser views: Looser views in the Christian community say Paul was addressing cultish views that tried to make women superior to men. These people vary on the levels they would allow... yet they think it's a *SPECIFIC* situation.

2. Stricter views: Even in stricter Christian communities (like fundamentalists, southern baptists, etc) still allow for women to fulfill the law of the "GREAT COMMISSION". 

This means for the purpose of conversion a woman may share her faith, testimony, the gospel and important doctrines to aid. These groups do not allows women to preach in church over any grown men. Sometimes will allow them to women to preach over children (even if there are male children). 

This command is for men and women~

Next... the situation of my salvation? I will be the first to admit I have sins (just not the one you think). I need to work on other sins in my life. Just to be clear... if I ever needed help with fighting sin I would not go to you for help.

You did not even follow the proper protocol when you think someone has sinned... 

Galatians 6:1"Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted".

Matthew 18:15  “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother"

I would not feel comfortable going to you if I was falling into sin... especially with the blatant heresies you are telling others. I do care about you tho... I mean I told you I didn't dox you for God's sake when I got your dox. Even though you always try to "test my patience" lol. 

By the way... Christianity isn't just about "avoiding the bad things". It's about doing the good things too... 

Would I help a homeless man beat up? I would like to think I would. In the moment I might act different than I intend if fear plays a role or something (I think they may attack me). It's easy to say what I would do in an ideal situation when I've never experienced it. 

But elevating "not sinning" over love is not the right method. Jesus said all of the laws hang on the law of love and the greatest two commandments are to love God and fellow man. My goal is to learn how to love better... 

1 Corinthians 13:1-3  If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Avoiding sin isn't the end goal. The end goal is to learn how to love better... 

1 John 4:8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Finally... God even rebukes pure "mindless obedience" when the heart is in the wrong place. It was enough for God to threaten to leave a church desolate... unless they would remember love first.

Matthew 15:8-9 “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”

Revelations 2 “‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name's sake, and you have not grown weary. But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first".

Everything else sounds good here... These people are patient, enduring, disliking evil, etc. But they forgot to actually LOVE.

I am not going to be condemned to eternal hell,  and hopefully none of you will either, but if you are professing to be a Christian right now can you truly say that you know Jesus, and that you have a close personal intimate relationship with him like I do  ????????????

 

Jesus tells me not to judge, so I am trying not to, but I do not see the evidence of the true holy spirit working in Feathers or Spatials lives and Jesus also says that

all I am trying to do is to keep people from being condemned to eternal hell, I care nothing about what this forum thinks of me or thinks of Jesus, as far as wanting praise or attention, I only want none of you to end up condemned to eternal hell because it is going to be really really truly horrible being stuck there for eternity forever

avoiding sin is the only way to truly love anyone else, and the only way to truly love Jesus @Feathers response

 

 and it is only Jesus who can put your sins in remission
