Trust in the Lord (even if not everything in the scriptures makes sens

e to you)

Proverbs 3:5-8

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

if something in the scriptures doesn't make sense to you, ask Jesus to reveal to you the truth about whatever it is and clear up your confusion

Jeremiah 33:3

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

James 1:5

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

If it doesn't make sense to us, how are we supposed to follow it?

Also have met plenty who tried calling out to Jesus with no reply, not everyone gets to run the Gnostic path.

maybe they were calling out without truly wanting to serve Him, Jesus does not reward selfish ambitions

other people's supposed experiences of Jesus not answering their questions, are not a justification for you refusing to humble yourself before God and ask either Turncoat

the scriptures are commandments and instructions from the Lord

Oh no these people were pretty far down the path otherwise, this isn't some sort of 'maybe they just weren't trying hard enough' scenario.

The majority of Christians don't end up with a direct line to God and/or Jesus, at most thinking they 'Saw God' during a one time dream or a Near Death Experience or something. Either it's fairly normal to have calling out to them not lead to a direct reply, or the whole 'only 144,000 will make it to Heaven' notion makes a lot more sense, especially when you look at statistics over how many Christians even know the Bible at all.

I'm asking separately of that, I don't plan to 'humble myself' for a person I don't respect.

Respect's got to be earned.

True rewards are rewards that move a person closer to righteousness, I am not talking about the rewards of worldly sinful pleasures Turncoat

Matthew 6:33

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 5:2-12

2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

I see your view of sins versus virtues as a reflection of Slave Morality. Not even all the sins are bad, such as one taking pride in their own earned accomplishments, being sex-positive, not giving away all their possessions, fighting someone in self-defense, enjoying good food, taking a break every once in a while...

The idea of 'Righteousness' is more a codifier of Zeal, as we've seen from movements like The Crusades. I'm more prone to thinking in terms of Master Morality, similar to that of Buddhism, where it's over what is "Good and Bad" rather than what is "Good and Evil", and from my studies I've concluded that God, no matter how well intended He might be from his lofty position of omnipotence, is an Alien form of Evil that is so different from humanity that I can't help but see his supposed 'Love' as inhumane.

He's effectively us trying to live with a dude following Blue and Orange Morality
