As far as the story from the video itself, yeah what you said is probably true. Notably absent from the story is any kind of evaluation of the woman's personality—his mind was totally on her past. Maybe he did the right thing (who knows), but he probably did it for the wrong reason.

Literally every chick that does not want to settle for one guy after 30 (more conservatively 27 but I'm being liberal) I know has a personality disorder or at least an accentuation.
