Fear isn't expressly a sin, but as I said to BT the idea of facing fears does seem to be a repeated theme.
Rather than say people must avoid dangerous situations it instead reminds people that their supposed God is with them and that their fear has no place.
Yes my child, 365 times it is said that there is nothing to fear. Fear may not be a sin, but it is a path towards sin for it's room to drop virtues in the name of defending one's self.
Through fear of being alone one may sacrifice their chastity, desiring a sense of oneness without the light of the lord.
Through fear of the world one's faith may falter, grasping for worldly things in order to comfort themselves now rather than in the hereafter.
Through fear of wasted time we see the virtue of one's good works turned towards purposeful obsolescence, so that the greedy may feed upon the greedy as a neverending cycle.
Through fear of discord one may find further discord born of their hearts, while an understanding of it can lead one to find serenity.
Through fear of boredom and the mundane one can find their sobriety struck by worldly vices, all over the promise of a better today in exchange for a worse tomorrow.
Through fear of immediate threats one can drop the value of patience, desiring that the problems conclude in the name of closure rather than in the name of the lord. In time one may find themselves as creatures of wrath over the perceived faults of others.
