Many homeless people have access to smartphones.

Do only wealthy people have access to smartphones

I'm currently displaced from housing as my rental unit sold and the new owners decided that they wanted to live in my unit per their mortgage requirement to make it their primary residence for 12mos. I feel punished for taking care of my home which is frustrating. I am disabled on SSI (supplemental security income) as I was an unmarried (don't believe in it) stay at home mom when I became disabled. SSI has it's own set of rules compared to regular disability. You cannot have any assets over $2000 or you can lose your benefits, making it impossible to save for first last and deposit when moving. You are required to pay for your fair share of living expenses (rent, utilities and food). Any money that a friend or family gives. you to help pay for living expenses is considered unearned income and the will deduct the amount up to 1/3 from your benefits. For example, prior to getting evicted the new owners raised my rent $600 a 60% increase. I get $794mo and rent would have been $1600 making my half $800 just for rent. This alone is unfeasible for me to pay without making my check deplete to $556mo. With the current rental rates in my area I cannot afford to live anywhere anymore.

What are some examples of rights everyone in your country should have but are denied to people surviving extreme poverty (homeless or not) through selective lack of enforcement of the law, through additional selectively enforced laws, or other forms of discrimination?

If financial class was a protected category then crimes against homeless people (because of their status as homeless) could be categorized as hate crimes. How would this help people trying to survive homelessness?

When the police clear out homeless camps, where do they take the homeless that were living there?

Can your DNA tell you which diet is best for you? I heard that some DNA tests can show if you'll do better with high/low carbs or if you’re sensitive to lactose and explain why some do great on low carb but others have no energy and gain weight.

What is available for a family who has to leave a Motel. I am the manager of a motel and I am in the position of making an elderly woman and her two adult daughters who are disabled leave for no payment and I am struggling with it?

What are some examples of reasons why a homeless bill of rights is needed? What rights are homeless people restricted from due to lack of law enforcement, discrimination, etc.?

What are examples of the ways extreme poverty (homeless or not) can be traumatizing?

What are some examples of reasons why a homeless bill of rights is needed? What rights are homeless people restricted from due to lack of law enforcement, discrimination, etc.?

What is the difference between a mentally ill person trying to survive homelessness and a mostly-normal person traumatized by the experience of surviving homelessness?

Aren't phone plans cheaper than housing costs though? If you can somehow get ahold of the phone itself as a one time expense (or theft or whatever) you're mostly saddled with the monthly fee, which can get pretty low nowadays.

Because I live in California and i don't see phones as a luxury item as it's necessary for employment and most people here were eligible for the phones through the universal service fund, called "Obama phones" or "government phones".

There are phones that are in the thousands range and that's gonna turn a few heads, like iphones or the newest Samsung model, but otherwise i don't give a fuck what you're using to communicate with or waste your time being a victim on some niche internet forum.

I don't even recall asking what sort of phone you have lmao, all i asked was for you to clarify what you meant by being homeless on one post when on a different post you claimed to have a room and then why your husband allowed you to be homeless.

Government phones are free in some states along with free service as long as you're below a certain income, it's just like a prepaid phone with caps

No tard, I said I had a room when I was no longer homeless. However when I was homeless you were dumb enough to say if I were homeless I would have no phone or internet to post on sc. You are hocus pocus change the focus and even the focus you change it to is bullshit and more retardation because that is how stupid you actually are. You virtue signal the evils if venting on the internet and them you show you know nothing of the world.
