God is love, and love only seems boring until Jesus starts healing you

but yes data entry is very boring, I'm only starting with it because I'm in the process of getting my sanity back and needed something simple until I'm more....... Jesus-like and serene

I'm still a little emotionally unstable, especially from having to detach from yet again another online fantasy relationship since normal relationships have not ever been enough to keep my interest

a job won't heal you, a relationship won't heal you, therapy won't heal you.

but if you do all three at the same time, you will begin to feel balance and calm, and understanding will open up in ways which you didn't know it could.

it doesn't necessarily have to be these three things. it's just about taking notice and paying attention to your own needs, and engaging in or pursuing these needs at the time being. and slowly figuring out a balance that feels right.

not thinking too far into the future, and not proceeding with fear and caution. but simply just, having a need and fulfilling it with simple human compassion for yourself.

it is nice to have all these things, like religion, or, whatever attachments you find your solace in. but it is true self love and gratitude that you are craving and need. this will help open your eyes to things you need to see at this present time.

its only about the present.

this is why the OM is so important to certain cultures, it is about serenity through balance.

i think you want to pursue recovery for yourself, to end your suffering and your pain, and frustration with yourself. and though i hate to break it to you, there is no easy 1 step or even 12 step laid out guide. it is always a very individual and unique journey, that requires simply paying attention, to attain growth past the place you're in that is tribulation.

i hope you find that peace, but just be patient with yourself. life is hard, you have to give yourself more credit. and, practice self love, and listening to yourself, really deep within. and, understand that, each day is what you are approaching, each moment, not the full journey all at once. you don't have to feel anxiety abotu not getting there fast enough, because soon you'll find, each present day is the destination. there's no rush, because you're already there. the fact you are working through things, that is it. that is the process, that is life. there is no point you reach where you are no longer working through things. that exact process of working through things, that is the destination you wish to reach. you just have to feel appreciation for the present moment and the fact that you are.

i hope that made sense, i've never really put any of this into words before. but these are just things i've come across in my own personal meandering nonlinear journey. as always, all fellow travelers are welcome. i don't pertain to one particular religion or the other, but certain hindu philosophies have given me a lot of peace in areas more encompassing to the 'qualms' of the human spirit and the deepest innerworkings of my own personal mind & soul, but i have a solid appreciation for all ways of life, traditions, and teachings. there is something of value to be gained from all of them.

i notice a lot you are trying to cut off and detach parts of yourself and your life, but have you ever considered having compassion and appreciation for all the parts of yourself, even the ones that you may feel, negative feelings and associations with for whatever reason.

It's still a good first step, and frankly she sounds like she needs the cash for rent when SSI isn't enough.

Uhhh, I personally don't recommend this. While it's good to have a job, a relationship, and a life consultant, rushing towards all three'd be potentially overwhelming.

Isn't that what she's trying to do?

But 'The Bible' states that our life in the here and now is but a test for the next life, so to her, thinking about the future is the only thing that counts.

Have you found these things? Is it really that easy?

She seems to think The Bible is said guide.

You might want to practice what you preach before you start professing it as the answers for another. You are not at peace, you're unsuccessfully numbing yourself. To sit here like you have the answers in spite of them being contrary to your current state of suffering is a bit hypocritical.

In Turquie's case, couldn't it be argued that her attempts at fixing/reshaping her life's good? She's seeking work and trying to find her place within humanity instead of staying in her home and accomplishing nothing.
