It would also be nice if there was a way to categorize what you are following and look at only that type of content if that’s what you’re in the mood to scroll through so its organized
like say I only want to look at makeup brands
say I only want to look at mua creators
pages on Ig are usually fairly themed and center around one topic and one type of aesthetic typically like example- fashion; kawaii
So it would be nice to select like which type of content you want to see under one account instead of having to make multiple accounts and follow only those types of creators on each account to organize what kind of feed you will get
same for YouTube as well. I get recommended police videos or true crime videos because I watched one this month or “fall autumn background noise” videos and it’s like maybe I want to see only the makeup creator content right now or fashion content right now
It’s crazy how much control we have over our devices but the one thing we can’t control is what is pushed in our faces on a daily basis, and I don’t like that
i prefer to see only content I am following on YouTube and I hate that there is recommended videos on the side all the time, I wish there was an option to turn that off
and a seperate explore page like Instagram per category the way they have it on google YouTube is great

You can filter your results based on keywords at the top of your front page: 
You probably have one for makeup or some word like it.

I already knew that existed I just want to take that same energy for customization one step further
it bothers me now that youtube has implemented shorts they appear in your subscriptions feed, i would want them to appear in a separate feed from my normal videos
and you can't interact with them the same way you can a youtube video, like you can't save them to a playlist or watch later unless you click on it, and then sharing and embedding is a whole mess.
i think people like the way youtube was so if we could just have the same interactive capabilities as regular youtube then i'm ok with it, but also just make a seperate explore page for shorts and don't put them in my recommended
and thats just a branch off of what i was saying earlier about customization for your feed, i just, let me customize how my feed looks.
