I used to message my filipino boy I met in 2018 in Manila every 5-6 months, with just a message, most times wouldnt reply, I realize it's because I was not sure if I want to meet up but I am desperate for supply in that moment (he got fat and was in love with me which made me devalue him and push him away). It's all subconscious / robotic, nothing planned or manipulative. I am moved by my needs of the moment.

Same. Off and on with my ex for nearly 2 decades. The time before last we broke up, I ended it for the first time cause she was cheating yet again. And the last time we broke up, I ended up ghosting her.

She's very persistent, I just stop taking her calls.
I myself was shocked that I even did that. I got tired of the drama so one day I ignored her calls, then continued doing so.
She moved 7 hours away so for some time we'd only talk whenever she was coming to town. Today she's in a relationship with some dude that lives up there. I'm pretty sure if I never cut her loose that relationship she's in now would've been a well kept secret.
As for me ghosting her. There's some guilt in doing that but it doesn't bother me anymore. Her family understood why I did it, she had something like this coming.

You have nothing to feel guilty for, sounds like your "ghosting" but she is the one trying to haunt you like the spirit of something that died forever ago.

When it came to her, I made sure she'll never find anyone better. From the time we'd meet I'd burn more energy and handle her very firmly. When we greeted one another and hugged, I'd crack her spine from top to bottom. My massages are pressing and gripping techniques I've emulated from the 1 great massage I've had, I'd go deep into her presure points.
When we banged I wouldn't pause once which made it more intense.
There are other details but in a nutshell I turned her into a boomerang.
