Only real standout thing I can think of is the weird sentiments of 'White Pride' that persist through Ohio. There's much more 'It's Okay to be White' slogans and shit than other places I've seen.

From my own experience, big cities in the northeast and the midwest are full of black people. I think they outnumber white people by at least 5-10% in some places. (In Detroit black people make up smthg like 2/3 of the population.)
So when a crime is committed, naturally it's more likely to be a black person.
And if somebody gets a better job than the whiny douchebro with the > what am i white or smthg? bumper sticker, the 'job stealer' is more likely to be black, too.
All the other shitty things that happen to black people will suddenly get more attention in the media.
Because there are more black people than white in a good number of US cities. And I believe at least 2 of those cities are in Ohio.
And this is how white douchebros respond to #BLM type movements.
Especially when unemployment is an issue. They start spewing garbage slogans from the 1870s about how hard done by them good ol' boys are.
They tend to get meaner when they live in rust belts, and they take it out on whoever they perceive as being lower in the pecking order than they are.

All throughout to some degree. Even in some of the liberal patches there's people trying to push that message, many because it might start an argument or at least make for some noise. Around where I live's pretty liberal and you'll still see the occasional MAGA hat wearer who wants to scream 'Trump' to get a reaction.
It's super weird, I didn't notice it quite as much until I finished my road trip I was on this year.

ppl in Ohio didn't seem to be any more or less racist than anywhere else in the Blue States when I was there.
Except for PA. ppl in PA were strangely racist for Blue State residents.
Some crazy lady aimed her gun and started screaming about how she would shoot me bc I was walking with a black kid. Fucking weirdo had to go and make it about some imagined sex I was not having with the kid lol
Northern and southern alike, Americans are all pretty much just as crazy as the next one when it's about their guns.
They have some unusual commodity fetish objects anyway, but their guns are the strangest, imo.
