Hit on my coworker, got rejected

She said it seemed like I am trying to hit on her and why am I doing this. I said sorry i didn't mean to hit on you etc. Then I messagef her just now saying I want to apologize that I hit on her and that it was inappropriate and that I feel very uncomfortable now. She told me she just decided to take it as a compliment. I replied 'Thank god' and the emoji with these folded hands.

Do I have a foot in?

Too pushy, act as if you moved on, flirt on the other one

Shouldn't have messaged her, she can use that against you until one of you dies.

Overall I think pursuing her is a bad idea. Her boyfriend could get involved, cause a scene and you can get fired, then you'll be stuck living with a story of you getting ejected and punked like a fool after trying to take a taken woman.

By now she sees you as an option, which means she knows you're tangled in her web. Becareful cause she'll at times do things that'll draw you in, but that's just for an ego boost. Other times it'll really be nothing, then down the road it'll be something between you two again, but nothing happens. By that time she could've cheated on her boyfriend with other guys she chases.

I'm not afraid of that. Germany is not America, nothing will happen. Also, if I get fired I can just go to the next clinic and have a job in 2 weeks. I don't care at all. On some days I even hope that they fire me.

Damn dude, paranoid much?

No wonder you're so afraid to speak your real truths on this forum.

Jeez dude your perspective on women is abhorrent, and sounds like it roots from a place of pain.

If you aren't attractive they'll just have a sigh of relief over your having moved on though.

"There's always more fish in the sea" is legit, but if you're stuck on one particular someone then this could serve to push them away just as much as continuing to pursue.

I've mostly seen shit work from getting into deep talks, followed by motivating them to overcome it. Once they know you're open and friendly a lot of it's up to them for where it goes.

You underestimate how insecure women are

I would say that stopping pursuing and showing that you are not desperate / have options is more attractive than single minded focus

You can make a woman see your good sides and develop a deeper friendship but at that point it becomes a cost/benefit analysis for her rather than action taken purely by attraction / feelings / desire to win you over and get ur attn
