Assuming they're dropping breadcrumbs about themselves and not a proxy. 

All variations on a theme. Giving anyone any degree of useful info is doxxing yourself, whether those people drop crumbs or an entire dox is up to them. It's very avoidable and it doesn't require any degree of OPSEC knowledge.

There are other ways of doxxing, that's what I was referencing in my original question. Seems that's a no for this community, though.
