I don’t qualify for diagnosis what so ever 

but yeah, me and tryp after discussing this found out that people from the south and people from the north have very different ideas of what’s considered socially acceptable and normal behavior vs rude behavior 

And so I stopped worrying about it 

but you have to keep in mind at that time the relationship was very new and I had never been with anyone from the north before. So, we were still learning and figuring things out in our personal relationship like, there are kinks to be worked out 

and yeah one of those very minor things was us realizing we came from different up bringing entirely and it resulted in a lot of differences in behavioral norms. 

his particular state and city has a very particular set of ways people behave social standard ways and the people are a certain way so he expected that of me, and I was raised by an extremely southern family so I had very very different expectations of him which quite frankly are completely lost on him because he’s so far removed from that culture, he just has no clue. 

it was just, normal relationship stuff that we had to work out between us personally. As any relationship does you just realize things and then sort it out. 

We had a great time later that evening he showed me the chocolate isle in Walmart which I have never seen before and I was like wow I had no idea this was here 

we talked about our favorite candies because tryp is a chocolate FIEND and it was more for him we were going… he wanted stuff 

and then, we went home and ate it together just being like “YUM THIS IS REALLY GOOD” and were perfectly happy lol

 because it was a misunderstanding at that point... I wasn't scared, like I said, I was basically confused as to why he was doing it, and then we later discussed and realized it was just a difference cultural norm

You were afraid of lots in general because someone could assail you, plus something of the sort had happened to your mom I think. And I had brought it up jokingly while you were on here talking about how you were fearless or something like that during one of the times you were larping as a psycho. Not really a big deal tbh, but that's the context.

You were afraid of lots in general because someone could assail you, plus something of the sort had happened to your mom I think. And I had brought it up jokingly while you were on here talking about how you were fearless or something like that during one of the times you were larping as a psycho. I just said I was scared because I didn't want to reveal to you that I actually thought you were rude, in order to avoid confrontation. Because I sensed hostility or tension in your response when I brought it up. 

I think you were like "why does it matter, it shouldn't matter" or something like that. I just remember the retort being really short and kind of unexpectedly rude, I was a little shocked by it. 

So instead of going, "because it's rude" and escalating the situation and causing a blow out I just said, "oh.. haha its not your fault, I'm not accusing you, I'm just, scared of parking lots thats all no big deal!!!!!!!' 

 I was just doing pre-emptive bomb diffusion, and it worked. And then we were able to discuss it much later when you were calmer seeming and more open to discussion, we sorted it out, and it was fine. lol

also, he later told me that he thought I was walking too slow and where he is from and what he is used to like, that's just how he walks. 

He walks really fast, and I just am like, confused like "why are you walking so fast? what's the rush? are you like, nervous or something?" I just didn't get it. 

But yeah, apparently that's just how he walks. That's normal to him. 

To me, it's like, why are you running?? lol
