I refer to the classic case of the homophobic dad/ friend/ brother/ uncle who over pushes you towards manhood because deep inside he hosts actual homosexual urges which he is in denial about
Symptoms:
1. They can't seem to stop switching the conversation's subject to masculinity
2. They see feminity / homosexual traits everywhere
3. They're obsessed with anti homosexuality and they need to flaunt it constantly
4. They proclaim that they hate homosexuals constantly
5. They blame homosexuality to some grand plan or some social issue and they claim that's everyone's fault including society's "Kids are raised to be like that"
6. Some times such people are also severely mysoginistic and"red pilled"
7. They are rarely successful at dating the opposite gender
8. They need to remind to themselves and their social environment "they're not gay" even though it was never implied
It's a reverse psychology mechanism that has ties to projection, and it mostly works as a way to actually self pity yourself or to cope with your own homosexuality

Despite all this, homosexuality is indeed an anti-social disease and severe mental illness, that has ties to both biochemistry, evolution, but also nurture, however there's no reason to hate it to such extent. Just refer to it as what it is
