Are practicality and pleasure inherently shallow to you?  What else is there in a relationship?  There's the practicality of how they fit into and affect your life, and the pleasure of their company.

Goals are becoming more nebulous and internal as I age.  I had many childish ambitions that had more to do with what sounded impressive to me than what really made me happy, and it's been difficult to move past that, but I think I'm starting to recognize and accept my own disinterests.  That still leaves quite a bit though, but I'm trying to see it more as a well of possibilities, than a checklist of accomplishments.

 I'm quite attached to this place, and it's certainly affected me over the years.
