You wouldn't, you'd ask others to find it as confirmation to yourself over if it does or does not exist. You then figure if people are either too lazy to post it or otherwise don't have it that you can declare outwardly that there's nothing to fear. 

It also largely serves to ignore the bigger picture.

I'm guessing the logical reason is for future fuel in an argument between you and BR? I don't see what else there is to gain from this 'logically', just emotionally for the sake of closure.
