 you dont know what you dont know. a can of tuna is probably like once a month or 2 for a human. I doubt the cat is tolerating more than a human. that shit is loaded with mercury

i eat natural salmon/trout twice a week and occasionally a can of sardines in tomatopaste

i am sceptical of farmed fish

id try eating sardines in virgin olive oil which is really healthy but that stuff just tastes aweful. tomatopaste overrides the taste

 That's so interesting, maybe higher lifespan fish have more mercury because they collect it throughout their lives and so if they live shorter they collect less overtime? I am also skeptical of farmed fish despite that im guessing it would probably have lower mercury levels since I assume it must collect mercury from ocean pollution? But I know the  farm itself pollutes the ocean fromso I only eat farmed fish when I have to. what I'm seeing, it looks like highest mercury content is from "seafood" and seafood comes from seas and the ocean in general so that would be my guess.  I eat plenty of sardines, and I like em on my favorite pizza which I get on special occasions, sardine pineapple pizza, and I eat sardines minced with beans rice and, as you said- tomato paste. I agree it overrides the taste. I eat sardines because of their environmental footprint being not as bad for an Omega three fatty acid fish.
