It's sugar's version that is messed up. And it's messed up bc there were several incorrect retellings floating around luna's at the time. I highly doubt sugar even read what I wrote when the discussion was actually going on. So she's been stuck with this bizarre little Ship of Theseus in her twisted mind all these years.
From what I've seen, Sug has a pretty expected cycle now:
A) She holds onto ancient history.
B) She discusses this history with others, them throwing in their believed two cents into the average as she adopts it into the story.
C) She eventually embellishes the tale, knowing full well at this point that it's embellished and meant for a reaction.
D) Someone responds positively to it, and she begins to through that believe her own hype.
E) Her memory evolves towards the averaging of the rumor mill and her own embellishments, ignorant to the flaws in each.
F) Rinse repeat as the story further mutates.
I've enjoyed watching her Discord history, the way her stories mutate's like watching a compost heap going through a time lapse.
