My mom has land that can't be bought or sold but only inherited, and this is agate woods in Kentucky. These woods are filled with agate stones and her and I used to collect them all the time. Agate sounds more impressive than it actually is, it's a semi precious stone that is a fancy type of crystalized Flint, and some stones can be valuable depending on the stone and depending how polished, but most stones sell for ten bucks a stone alongside minimal prepping. That property is covered in trees which could be cut down and sold and some have in the past, but I love that place and my husband and I plan on making a vacation home there because where it is it's so rural you can build anything you want. It does have ground water but this requires a well. The woods are also filled with wild boar. A variety of animals live there, like falcons, foxes, and even wild dogs. To me, it's almost like our family nature reserve. I remember as a kid we used to make playhouses in the brush and my brother used to eat blackberries there. We used to go camping there sometimes to and there's an old falling down house there that my grandmother used to live in and so did my mom when she was a little girl, but that had bad foundation because of my grandmother and biological grandfather who shall not be named didn't understand how to build a house properly when they made it, so the house is still there, crumbling over to this day, with a bathtub in the yard.
