I remember she told me when I was a kid, that it would be mine one day, we had good memories there, but that it would have been my brothers but can't be. I was fine with that. But giving me everything? All the houses, both the mountains, all the money and the stock and the jewelry- just because my cousin decided to be a lesbian? I'm conflicted. Yes my cousin molested me, but no one knows that in this family. You have always been land barons, assholes even. You wanted to bring Scotland here. You couldn't leave it behind. You didn't give my parents shit because they had a disabled child, you saw that as a bad omen, so now, you give it to me, because I'm the only young person on this side of the family that decided to marry and remained a virgin until marriage. I'm already an heiress of there money and what they built, and of my other grandmother's work, but inheriting this, feels almost like a joke. An insult. Am I a pawn to you? I'm mentally ill because of your abuse of my family, you caused a ripple effect of abuse. To be your land baroness is a joke. I learned to manage money and save and make money because I didn't want to be poor anymore, but I didn't fucking have to be, you know that- but you didn't help me. I live like I'm poor now so I can be something later- but you don't see that, all you saw was what I accomplished, but til you saw that you judged me. Leave your bullshit in the old world, dead like everything else. Because if I had married a black man like my aunt, or was gay like my cousin, or was an atheist, you'd throw me away like you throw away everyone else.
