 I don't know. :(  Admittedly, I gravitated to grass Pokemon starters most of the time.  ...And I think I can sound like Bulbasaur. :/

Did you not witness Twitch Plays Pokemon? 

 Pokemon GO!  Or any particular one?  I remember Go! had a lot of people do semi-IRL type streams.  summit1g got SWAT-ed or something while he was doing his own stream for Go!  Sword and shield had a brief life, as did TemTem.

No, I mean specifically "Twitch Plays Pokemon" when it was in prime hype getting worldwide news coverage and shit. 



Here's a playlist of it's videos in real time, but it lacks the charm of having seen the Twitch chat going at light speed. The reddit for it was also pretty active but you'd need to do some digging to get back to the original material. The fan art and lore was pretty weird, but it gives a lot of material to look into.

Oh yes!  I remember some of that!

Bulbasaur wasn't a major character in Red, but viewers used the Pokedex to spam Bulbasaur's cry throughout the entire game for long periods of time.  This is because bulbasaur was the first in the Pokedex.
