Pandemic apocalypse

I think this shit will never stop. The vaccines are not as effective against the mutants. There will be new mutants that will be resistant. Vaccination goes too slow which gives rise to resistant mutant strains. New vaccines take months too develop. Etc etc.

This will have no end.

It will be gone eventually. Will probably kill way more people than the spanish flu

I’m still not worried about it. Survival of the fittest is beautiful.

I think you are correct. You are starting to figure it out. Corona viruses have been shown to evade the human immune system. The vaccine is just starting the cat and mouse game. Pushing the mutations in the variants. And it may be pushing it to a more deadly form. This has been shown with other animal viruses.

This link shows some science showing how corona viruses change with time to evade the host immune system. They showed that old antibodies from the 1980's did not work well against new cold coronaviruses.

The viruses mutated away from the immune system. You can get the same cold virus twice. It just takes two years.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33831132/

"We identify human sera from the 1980s and 1990s that have neutralizing titers against contemporaneous 229E"

"sera that neutralize contemporaneous 229E viral strains with titers >1:100 do not detectably neutralize strains isolated 8-17 years later."

There are some new scientist looking at a better vaccine method. One that uses the innate immune response. Maybe this is some hope.

Mutations becoming more deadly is unlikely.

First, remember, this has NEVER happened before, EVER. This is the largest human experiment known.

Second, here is some science showing animal research with vaccine induced more deadly strains.

Imperfect Vaccination Can Enhance the Transmission of Highly Virulent Pathogens

https://journals.plos.org/plosbiology/article?id=10.1371/journal.pbio.1002198

There is a theoretical expectation that some types of vaccines could prompt the evolution of more virulent (“hotter”) pathogens. This idea follows from the notion that natural selection removes pathogen strains that are so “hot” that they kill their hosts and, therefore, themselves. Vaccines that let the hosts survive but do not prevent the spread of the pathogen relax this selection, allowing the evolution of hotter pathogens to occur. This type of vaccine is often called a leaky vaccine. When vaccines prevent transmission, as is the case for nearly all vaccines used in humans, this type of evolution towards increased virulence is blocked. But when vaccines leak, allowing at least some pathogen transmission, they could create the ecological conditions that would allow hot strains to emerge and persist. This theory proved highly controversial when it was first proposed over a decade ago, but here we report experiments with Marek’s disease virus in poultry that show that modern commercial leaky vaccines can have precisely this effect: they allow the onward transmission of strains otherwise too lethal to persist. Thus, the use of leaky vaccines can facilitate the evolution of pathogen strains that put unvaccinated hosts at greater risk of severe disease. The future challenge is to identify whether there are other types of vaccines used in animals and humans that might also generate these evolutionary risks.

I concur. This guy gets it.

It’s going to be like herpes, so they will have to do what they are doing for that cure, which is attack the virus using the cutting tools that are used to cut bad parts off of cells before repairing them. They have to figure out where the virus will hide when it evades the immune system and make custom molecules that can get there and fill them with the cutting tool and that will work, as it has so far in mice for the herpes virus in its dormant phase, which is how it evades the immune system. It just chills and hides and then pops up. I don’t have a link, but google herpes cure and you’ll find it. I explained it pretty accurately, although what they use might not be a molecule. I read it about a week or two ago, so it’s not too fresh.

It’s very likely. That’s what they do is become harder to detect in your system, which makes it harder to kill, making it more likely you’ll die from it. The reason some people don’t die is their immune systems, but if their immune system can’t even find the virus, they can’t fight it and will die.

This seems like its telling me to get the vaccine, but I’ll wait to see if this happens first. Then I’ll probably get it if it does happen, unless I want to die. Then, I’ll just make sure to get the coronavirus so I don’t have to kill myself and not go to heaven. We shall see...
