This form of marketing pushes such trash, as by making it about only one audience not enjoying it they technically aren't lying so much as cherry-picking.

It was a flop overall, massive disappointment in the box office. This isn't surprising given that the original premise of Charlie's Angels was a bunch of sexy women in combat, which basically caters to two of the things men love. The three ladies above look like they escaped a TeenNick set and are ready to give a lot of sassy one-liners.

It does look like they're just trying to treat modernization as a checklist of traits. There's essentially no reason to do this for Charlie's Angels other than to snag a quick buck. It gives me 90s blockbuster feels with the tech focus of the movie xXx (2002), albeit with breaking tables and smooshing their faces into cakes to the tune of Tom & Jerry being replaced with action marketing ala James Bond.
How could this movie even be good? Even looking at two of their three members cast, one of them's from Vampire Diaries and the other's from Twilight.
