Quitting alcohol itself isn't so bad, as long as you're not coming down too fast. It's the boredom and seeing others around you drinking that makes things difficult, especially if you loved how alcohol made you feel.

I quit easily. I just stopped when I visited Chapo. Switched back to weed. Alcohol was never really my thing. I used to drink like crazy in high school and college, then in law school and after I had the baby because I was breast feeding, but weed has always been my favorite, so it wasn’t hard to quit alcohol. Sometimes I miss it because I enjoy not remembering things and being free to do whatever my brain would normally do without anything stopping it, but it’s really bad stuff, apparently, so it’s not good to allow myself that freedom. I just smoke the weed now.

Because I will become an addict after 2 or 3 years if I continue. Wish me success. But I will be able to just stop.

I drink 1-4 beers daily, have been doing this for a few years. Occasionally I drink other stuff.

Its a calorie problem for me. Dont want to gain weight

Just drink 80+ proof spirits. Within moderation it saves time, saves money, and doesn't pile on as many calories.

That’s what I used to do, but not in moderation at all. One handle every two to three days at the end.

Well, moderate it then.

It's significantly harder for people who get adrenal responses to quit.

Moderation isn’t my strong suit, so I just stopped.

Why not?

It sounds more like you just don't want to, because it's less fun.

Accurate. That’s why it doesn’t work. Even if I try, I think I’m being stupid because there’s no reason to poison yourself if you don’t get to feel the effects. Alcohol is poison. Drink to enjoy the drunkenness, is my motto. I’m all about fun man.

Sounds more like your means of self control is feast or famine.

This is why keeping it for like... one day out of the week or so's advisable.

You need to recharge your body's natural chemicals and shit if you want it to feel like anything.

Alcohol is poison. Drink to enjoy the drunkenness, is my motto. I’m all about fun man.

There's more than two stages of inebriation, but for you to discover those areas you'd need to know how to practice self-control.
