I guess that's better than getting beaten a lot as a kid.
being beaten as a kid doesn't make u a sociopath. Sociopaths if I remember correctly are the way they are due to surrounding forces of negatives of society whilst growing up.
For example, An immigrant child, A child who has grown up in an orphanage, poor children. Couple this with inconsistent discipline doesn't really have to be violence but can involve it creates a sociopath. As with anyone can rise above bad circumstances. Sociopaths are bred through pure malicious and hostility directed towards society and authority due to bad social circumstances as a child. Thus inconsistent discipline is the set off to everything like popping a bottle of bad champagne.
