Dr Geert Vanden Bossche vaccine virologist

Halt All Covid-19 Mass Vaccination Immediately (Open Letter to the WHO) — Vaccine Research Expert

Ongoing mass vaccination deployments are “highly-likely to further enhance ‘adaptive’ immune escape as none of the current vaccines will prevent replication/transmission of viral variants”

As such, “The more we use these vaccines for immunizing people in the midst of a pandemic, the more infectious the virus will become”.

And “With increasing infectiousness comes an increased likelihood of viral resistance to the vaccines”.

this is not an honest person

van den bossche is a veterinary physician with a minimal background in virology, paid to have some of his stuff published, lied about being published elsewhere and is overall very sketchy

he also confuses virus with bacteria, with the former very rarely if ever developing a resistance to a vaccin and behaving very differently

You guys are hilarious, this guy worked for the Gates foundation and GAVI developing vaccines. Don't be so media gullible.

Anyway, time will tell if this guy is correct. There is science behind his words.

Like this.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4516275/

"Vaccines that let the hosts survive but do not prevent the spread of the pathogen relax this selection, allowing the evolution of hotter pathogens to occur."

This is the key here, do the vaccines prevent the spread of covid?

The South African variant 501Y.V2 still gets vaccinated people sick and they can transmit the mutant virus.

So I think Mr. Bossche is correct. This is not good news.

A key issue is whether COVID-19 vaccines will be able to protect against infection or disease from these new SARS-CoV-2 variants. Preliminary research suggests sera from individuals immunised with the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines neutralise a 501 mutation pseudovirion, but neutralise a 501-484-417 mutant pseudovirion to a lesser extent.12 Moreover, preliminary clinical trial results of ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 showed 74% efficacy in the UK3 but only 22% in South Africa,13 whereas NVX-CoV2373, a protein-based COVID-19 vaccine, showed 89% efficacy in the UK but only 49% efficacy in South Africa, where the 501Y.V2 variant predominates.14 Similarly, differences in vaccine efficacy in the USA and South Africa (72% vs 57%) were reported for the Ad26COV2.S COVID-19 vaccine.15 More encouragingly, 85% protection against severe COVID-19 has been reported for the Ad26COV2.S vaccine in South Africa, although we do not know the precision around the estimate provided in the press release.16 If confirmed, a vaccine strategy targeting first those at risk of severe COVID-19 might therefore still be effective even in the presence of variants.

AstraZeneca ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 showed 74% efficacy in the UK3 but only 22% in South Africa,

ChAdOx1 is a adenoviral vector vaccine developed by the Jenner Institute, University of Oxford. The vector is a chimpanzee adenovirus modified to avoid its replication.

Novavax COVID-19 vaccine NVX-CoV2373, a protein-based COVID-19 vaccine, showed 89% efficacy in the UK but only 49% efficacy in South Africa

Johnson & Johnson Ad26COV2.S, differences in vaccine efficacy in the USA and South Africa (72% vs 57% South Africa) were reported for the Ad26COV2.S COVID-19 vaccine

The recent emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants, after a period of relative viral genetic stability, is a cause for concern since multiple new escape variants could emerge in future and lead to severe epidemic rebound, as seen in South Africa.
