Asking people to explain jargon is pretty good as well. Usually if the person is using technical terms, they're trying to sound intelligent (which means they don't know how to engage intelligently). So say something like, "oh, I'm unfamiliar with that, what does that mean?" 90% of the time, they can't explain anything well, or what they are talking about is totally irrelevant to the ongoing conversation. It also puts them on the defensive.

Wasn't directed at him, although he does like to take the "inquisitive route." TC's shtick is more of a nitpicking process. Pointing out where people are "technically wrong," pointing out inconsistencies over time, or otherwise trying to argue that things don't add up.
