I really love herbal remedies. I became obsessed with alchemy and spagyrics. I make my own tinctures according to the old processes that were used by the old alchemists. It is hard to understand the texts and mostly I don't understand them, because they are written in twilight language. To understand the basics in an experiential way one needs a herb, a liter Vodka and a big closable glass jar. You can then watch the threefold separation of the materia prima over the next weeks, then you take the impure SAL part and free it from the faeces. Then you combine the three bodies (SULPHUR, MERCURIUS and SAL) and you have the medicine. That alone is trippy as fuck to watch and one can understand that the old texts and pictures of the alchemists are practical manuals. I want to have a laboratory when I am richer. Also this thread is about herbal remedies etc that you may or may not make in general.
