Why is everybody here just drunk, autistic and depressed? Its not even a sociopathcomunity, all the fake psychopaths here escape daily life with getting drunk daily.
Assuming this were the case, this situation you've posed actually wouldn't be a hard one to rationalize. ASPD in many respects was originally adopted here as a justification for their behaviors that could otherwise be explained as other issues, and likely why some keep their belief that they have this disorder a secret is purely over how untrendy it's become since.
It's largely seen as weakness to be emotionally affected, hence why our expressions tend to become more stoic and reserved in appearance when we don't want to embarrass ourselves (magnified if we don't want to embarass ourselves further). The aim of it is to try to blend into the crowd by having ourselves not stand out, and with time I'm seeing the e-equivalent of it surfacing as people no longer feel as invincible behind their aliases.
Drunk:
Addict behavior in general's been treated in the field as a sort of "Chicken or the Egg" dilemma; "Does the drug addiction make him act this way, or does his behavior make him prone to drug addiction?". Naturally for many addicts who've done some research and don't want to admit to themselves or others that they're addicts with self-inflicted chemical imbalances and messy transmissions, it'd be easier on the ego to watch an episode of Sherlock or something and be like "Yep, that's me". It also makes it tons easier to call their embarrassing behaviors around people "careless and apathetic" instead of "sloppy and out of control".
Autistic:
While many people "live the label" and try to use their own behaviors as a series of crutch excuses, many more will grab a less undesirable label and try to coast on it's seeming similarities and hype instead. It's like trying to say you're ADD instead of just bad at school, or for the internet that you're ASPD and bored instead of embarassed and emotional ("Cool as a Cucumber").
While the above applies to all three of these ideas that you've listed, autism has been demonized in particular pretty damn hard on the internet compared to a lot of other disorders, and if they haven't awakened to the fact that they are indeed on the autism spectrum you're now trying to convince an autistic person that they're wrong about themselves, one of their most intimate subjects from how many other people aren't usually around them. Thanks to shows like Sherlock yet again it's become easy to sell that autism resembles ASPD.
Depressed:
This one's pretty basic. Depression tends to be a pretty drained display, not so much BPD bouts of "BOO HOO WAAAHHH" but instead through a lack of overt expressions and enough Anhedonia to think they're "bored" all the time. Depressed people also have an increased tendency to think they're "terrible to others", and while I'd argue that this is either typically excessive self-criticism or the result of them trying to distance themselves from others to have less on their plate... ASPD is characterized as well by reduced emotional capacities and behaving poorly around people. Much like the druggie excuse for claiming ASPD as well, it also rationalizes "poor conduct", which for a depressed person can fall into the earlier mentioned duality.
TLDR; No one wants it to be these things, while our current time period gives the room to hype yourself up ala Hot Topic through the ASPD label. Why be sad and depressed when you could be a "badass" in a band t-shirt that "doesn't give two fucks about people's judgmental glances", to the point of never shutting up about it, in relation to their laundry list of disorders they QUITE LITERALLY wear on their sleeves.
The cringe factor's become more undercover since ASPD became a cringier thing to claim in these parts, and with it we're seeing other reasonings for their behavior surface that avoid such an outlandish claim. In the end, it's always easier to say "it's not my fault", and saying "the disorder did it" is yet one more way to distance their own sense of responsibility over their prior actions... even to the point of admitting to disorders that they'd otherwise not want to talk about.
The top tier users here are still top tier cringe.
It's a self-serving circus where the patrons are also the attractions.
There are maybe 4 people from here i actually like, thats about it.
Who are they?
The rest all just escape in Alcohol, and cry online about it.
It's not just alcohol. There's been a good deal of illicit drug use discussed on here, and a lot of people have been given pills in one way or another (T.K. for instance was a daily codeine case, and quite a few people have mentioned their meds).
Just kill yourself, you have the choice
So you wish for them to find peace then instead of continuing to exist in toil and struggle?
