so my family almost moved into this house and we were going to start a wedding business and host weddings out of the house

but then they decided to look for houses that were closer to the city we live in for convenience reasons and being close to other family members

but they legit almost bought it and we legit almost had a wedding business which would of been so cool

and I legit still wanna buy the house and do weddings out of it but

here is the tea: the wedding business isn't doing that well according to market research. no one is hiring wedding planners and such or spending large amounts of money one venues and what not anymore. the millennial generation isn't as into that (and can't afford it) and that's who's going to be getting married sooooo. probably not the best business investment. ironically there's better money in the funeral business hahaha.

but it would still be so much fun to do on the side on occasion, it just shouldn't and wouldn't be your sole source of income. more just for fun because I like weddings lol how cool would that be to just have weddings at your house every weekend in your backyard? and you get to help them plan it??? so freaking fun I love that

so this is a thread inspired by my dream of having a wedding business, where we shall post pretty wedding things.

surely I can't be the only one that hoards wedding things in a Pinterest board JUST IN CASE. all the girls at my college dorm/ from my high school did that and thats where I got into it. I was like imma making a Pinterest board too! and then we could tag each other in things because we were planning on having each other in each others weddings as brides maids. lol im still holding my college room mate accountable to that. im counting on being your maid of honor bitch.

every girl is always secretly planning their wedding in the back of their head their entire lives. idk why its just a thing. I know you do it- don't lie to me and act like you don't because you do.

update someone bought the house that I was really excited about like a year ago but.

it's okay there is other venues. it's just I fell in love with it's location. not so much the house itself but.

we went multiple times and toured the house and hung out with the family selling it and like, really got to know the property, and the people who owned it for years and years. it was special to them ya know.

and I just got kind of attached to it like, I really enjoyed every time I was there I felt so at peace and just like, free, and calm. because of the beautiful land it was on and the scenery.

I legit at one point, laid down in the shade of the tall oak trees (after swimming on the swing for a bit- yes there's a big beautiful tree swing) and I just laid there and literally took a nap in this beautiful yard like some kind of cottage core fantasy I was LIVING

the shadiness of the property made it so cool and the wind from the lake, so even though Florida normally is scorching and feels like breathing through a sock, I wasn't sweating at all and it was actually enjoyable to be outside for once.

which, in florida- that feeling, is priceless. you literally have to move to another state to get that usually.

this location just, is prime prime real estate so.

it was also an extraordinary deal. in the main area of town this property would easily be worth 3-5 million dollars. easily. if not more, because it's all antique original historical architecture. the architecture itself is rare, because it was build by a German duchess who came here to "hide" during the world wars with her son. so it was absolutely gorgeous.

and the house was being sold for only 800k. which is an extraordinary deal.
