a big part of cognitive behavior therapy etc is the relationship between micro-level and macro-level. usually a therapist will take some situation that is relevant at the moment for the patient and analyze it with the patient and will find everythign about the macro-level  he needs to know in this single situation. For example chapo, he seems perfectly ok with chopping up potatoes for hours and hours etc. it shows us he has no ambition, doesnt worry about meaning, has no intention to develope as a person etc. he will never improve and seems ok with it. He probably also does not even have the desire to be better at any level, he is sufficient. like some reptile in a terrarium thinking it's the jungle. Maybe he even knows that he could be better, but is too lazy or stupid to change anything. have you ever met a guy in his thirties who chops potatoes for 8 hours and is just OK with it?

I'm sure this is weed induced chillness. Otherwise know as amotivational syndrome. Four bong hits per day will do this to you. It's a good drug for chillin and doing nothing. But very bad for making something happen in your life.

Leave the guy alone. Having a job and being happy is what matters. Unhappy is chasing something that you think it will make you happy when you have it. If you are not happy right now , you won’t ever be. Being happy it’s not about having, but being content, just like being Rich is not how much you make but how much you spend.
