Navalny is an interesting character, somewhat deified for being a brave opposition figure (which he is) but what is often overlooked are his ultra-nationalistic sentiments (he expressed support for the annexation of Crimea, the war in georgia, deportation of various ethnic minorities from russia) as well as his repeated appeals towards god. Nevertheless as it stands, he is the biggest opposition figure to stand and fight against Putin, which makes more and more people rally behind him.
