Here we can post our daily good deeds. Deeds where we helped other etc. Acts of kindness, whatever.
-one patient confessed in tears to me that she is incontinent since 2 years and tells no one, because she feels intense shame. Instead she dehydrated herself and doesn't leave her house. She is my stationary patient since 3 weeks and she finally opened up. She told no one ever. I convinced her that it is a medical condition and needs attention from a doctor and called her doctor in the hospital. Now she will be examined in detail to find the root cause of her condition. It felt good that she trusts me enough and it felt good that I could help her making an important step and improvement in her life.
-my really crazy Turkish patient left today. He fell through all social nets and mental health institutions etc, because he is too crazy but yet kinda functional. So no one will take him as an ambulant patient and he is too well off to be institutionalized into an acute psychiatry. So I put in 3 hours 1 of which I won't get paid for and wrote a very long detailed psychopathological report, so that at least the next clinic or therapist has an idea of what his condition is and what the important points are. I did this only because I wanted to help him to get help with his complex PTSD. But God, I still fucking hate that Bastard.
