would selling alcohol to minors carry the same legal weight and go under same legal like title than selling illicitly illegal drugs (that aren't legal based on age)?

At least here in the states, selling alcohol to minors seems to have more wiggle room than other drugs, but said wiggle room's mostly over lesser offenses with smaller fines rather than how cut and dry it is for less legal drugs:
Alcohol:Misdemeanor offenses are defined as those that have a potential penalty of up to one year in a local jail or state prison. Providing alcohol to an underage person may result in a jail sentence of up to a year, a much lighter sentence, or no jail at all. The circumstances of the case and state law will determine what sentences are appropriate.
Fines are a common penalty for anyone convicted of selling alcohol to a minor. The amount of the fine varies broadly, but can be as much as several thousand dollars per violation.
Drugs said:You can be charged with a fourth-degree drug crime for the sale of any Schedule IV or V drug to a minor. You could face up to 15 years in prison and up to $100,000 in fines if you are convicted.
It's funny how legality can vary purely over if there's as much financial incentive for the government or not.
