I agree that overthinking is not the same as being smart.

The brain is a muscle that must be exercised, and overthinking is like doing reps.

Why else read books?

Real intelligence is knowing when to think and when to act.

Actually, that's a sign of a lack of it.

Those who act first had less questions, intelligence stalls.

A clear mind makes better choices than a busy mind. Peace comes from balance, not from endless thoughts.

A mind acting rushed is not clear.

Nah, that analogy breaks down.  It's in the "over" prefix.  It's doing too much.  Just like over-exercising can cause you damage.  Overeating, overreacting, etc.

Overthinking is called that for a good reason.

Anyone can do it, but it's best done in silence when scheming or solving problems.

One who "overthinks about everything" ( there's a difference ) will produce backward output. They will entertain the idea of always, flipping the coin and run with the other side everytime. Its flashy and outside the box. A form of vanity, the sinful type, straying away from what functions in exchange for mental glory. Change is seen as progress, and this matters more than function. The subject will then stumble on assumptions and produce poor output with nothing to gain with a sense of intelligence after pushing toward something new with the will and desire to abandon what's tested and proven to work.

There's nothing new under the sun.

Man are you going to say the man who does no reps is on the same level as the man who over exhausts not knowing when to stop?

It's not the same problem, only one of them is fat.
