If you say you saw this in an alternate reality, why would it have any meaning for this one?

I also noticed that your lamp is ugly. We have to value ourselves and the environment in which we live. It is not just about functionality, because humans are not robots. Maybe you want to buy a better lamp.

You clearly have never read the works of Philip K. Dick, nor seen the works of C.W.C. nor The Oracle of Saturn, or likely any other shaman-types. 

If we could count on such things being real, and not just some byproduct of our imagination, it could give us hints about our own world through what actions were taken in it that weren't in ours.
