This isn't really a thread to add to because of how niche this particular music scene is, but I thought I'd introduce you to it because it's pretty good.
Michigan Space Rock cropped up in the 90s by teens seeking some sort of escape from the break post industrial Detroit environment. So they made really spacey music inspired by Shoegaze, post punk, and space rock. A unique element to this scene is the way drone and shoegaze come together. It's more than the sum of its parts. Here are some good examples of it-
The most known michigan space rock duo is also closely associated with ambient/drone. Here is their best album.
Less known, this one has more rock in the drone than the previous example. But still quite ambient.
