Outsider music is trash

Sorry TC, I don't fuck with it. Post-punk, ambient, prog, space rock, IDM, ambient, goth, shoegaze, drone- all great. But there is a line between experimentation and just being undercooked and bad, and this crosses way over it.

My grandiose delusions are better than yours.

You're young, this makes sense. You haven't become jaded enough of the conventional sounds yet to need to go this far for something novel. It's usually just music people who end up finding an interest in it, while the casual listener will always reel back like they're just hearing random sounds.

You ever hear of The Residents? Their outside of the box thinking was what inspired Primus, him carrying elements of their sound into the music he makes that's otherwise more pleasant to the ear. Even the video I linked that likely spawned this topic demonstrates how Kurt Cobain and Frank Zappa were both inspired by The Shaggs ~ Philosophy of the World:

It's refreshing to see both something novel and honest, closer to a human truth than the processed works we see otherwise produced one-after-another, playing on the same hypnotic earworms that lure in commoners. This is the same thing that lures me to B-Movies and Deep Into Youtube style content; the promise of something I haven't seen before, of something I can't necessarily predict from a notable lack of editing and streamlining.

Past a point of binging any material, nothing becomes worse than something obvious and expected. They feel like reruns, you've sensed this before and you're bored of it on your first time listening. Outside of the conventional, expected mediums you can also find people trying to capture other feelings, like audio that is purposefully meant to make you feel uncomfortable.

Give it time. When you get bored of the conventional stuff, these sorts of things offer a creative bent of inspiration that won't be found elsewhere.

You before weren't a fan of darker music from how it made you 'feel bad', I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up picking up some outsider music band over how it surprised you.

I like listening to people who don't know how to sing sing. Also, here is a song I made Its called, "I can't leave my fucking house": by me.

The labrat devours the scientist, if given the chance. As the rat is nothing but a tool to the scientist, the rat may still consume his dead flesh.

Yeah it is possible considering that during my kanye west hardcore fan days I didn't think I'd even be interested at all in the stuff I eventually got to. I also never thought I'd like post punk; I tried and rejected it in the past. Ultimately my dad's affinity for Pink Floyd in my childhood was the catalyst for me opening up to this darker and experimental stuff.
