especially after someone literally fucking doxxed me and no one took it down banned or punished the user for doing it 👎
Did you ever ask to have it removed? You have to prov the info in the thread is about you to a mod and request it to be removed
Currently the mods are Inq and TC. Inq never comes around so we effectively have only one mod.

She eats and sleeps and has a life off of here so she isnt always readily available when the community needs a mod to handle spam or doxing.
Which doxes? We've been handling it as a down on request policy, all they need to do is send the links that are otherwise an infraction.
The new mod should be someone who is around frequently, and can be trusted with that kind of power by the community.
Also one who will actually stick to policy rather than just do whatever they want, as we've already seen what happens otherwise.
What do we actually need the additional mod for, to silence some chat spam?

I don’t think it’s difficult for you to add an automatic ban function to the chat for repeated messages.
There actually is a spam filter for it that can be adjusted, but it had to be slowed down after people like Sugar complained of chat bans for simply typing like an ADD spaz.
Consequently, the ones who've learned to spam the chat have also learned the timing.

Basically this yea. Usually it's KKK. He's getting as bad as cawk for making chat unusable with puppets that can't be muted. Increasing with frequency, nearly every other day now. If cawk could have chat and post rights restricted to limit spam, why can't the same measures be applied to anyone when they are acting that bad?

I agree, this is more an issue of how it's handled than number of people handling it. I think we either need to do as you suggest, like we did for Cawk, or tighten the auto-muting, like it used to be, so that too many chat messages too fast will automatically take care of itself. That seemed to work fine, until Good rolled it back.

You could ask him yourself, when I asked him he assured me that he signs on every day and reads a bit of the content here.

Lets make a topic to note these infractions with a sense of permanency, then we can handle it from there. To do otherwise is mostly going to incur the "is spam really that bad" arguments.

Did he? I don't recall him being limited more than other chat users, but rather his access to this site as a whole was what was limited.
We otherwise have a spam filter that has caught other users who'd felt the urge, but again like Luna's SC it's just a matter of learning the timing. I could request Meta speed that filter up, but if it's already catching people in it's net who aren't spamming then it's liable to snag even more people in the crossfire.

I'll log on to see people like TPG with "TC wtf why'd you mute me" when it was the spam filter that snagged them.
