I remember it beigg nothing like the Gameboy games. I silly grinder etcm heartless. No trainer fights. Nothing to do really. Is it still like that? I really like the concept. I also tried out ingress and that Harry Potter augmented reality thing but ingress was too complicated at the time and HP was garbage. Did they make Pokémon go better in the meantime? I tried it out maybe 1-2 years ago

What level trainer are you? I’ve been playing a solid year and am level 31.
Chapo has been pretty much playing since the game’s release. He thought recently his deck was worth $1k in the material world. You’d need to have played as long and dedicatedly as him to get his gains. (He’s level 40, at which the game originally capped.)

how did it become better? what did they add?
COVID made it so they would add more stuff you can do without going outside. There is also a competitive ranked battling system and raids, more you can do with friends, special research tasks and a lot of other new stuff that wasn’t there the 1st year. 1st 2 months might as well have been a beta of the game.
