I think some people would disagree with you. You'd be surprised about the habits of people you consider wealthy.

yes you should sell it.
no one gets more than what they paid on used or 2nd hand items unless they are rare, limited edition, and there is a current incredibly high demand for it, and the fact you get an offer at all is a win.
don't look at it as original price-current price. look at it as, someone is giving me 200 dollars to get rid of one thing.
this is a better deal because most places that take clothing in bulk for re-sale in exchange for cash would never give you 200 for an entire two garbage bags full of clothes.
so this much for one coat is really excellent. especially for re-sale apps where the users are generally 'cheap' and looking for the 'cheapest deal' and not all items 'sell' right away, or at all.

i got rid of a pair of bright pink nike tennis shoes that i never wore because they had purple accents and it reminded me of barney, and people stared at them when i walked because they were so atrocious.
i parted with them for 60 bucks in my pocket and i don't regret it. through poshmark.
poshmark is an excellent selling app because it protects the buyer and the seller incredibly well, in a lot of ways.
the integrity of their app is better than ebay even, and they have a large user basis of people constnalty searching for items- including 'high cash' customers that are searching for luxury items. aka they have a knowledge of what brands are high end and not, and they buy items based on this brand a lot of the time, or even search for it avidly.
so you can get rid of some really high ticket items here. because of there being that user base. it's mainly for fashion.
mercari is best for makeup, but it's so oversaturated, i noticed i get more offers on poshmark right away surprisignly on used makeup.
and if you advertise and market your page well, you'll find that pretty much every makeup item you post on poshmark will sell one way or another. sometimes it requires creating a bundle for someone if the items are small and less desirable. but yeah!
it's great for making some quick cash.

You can get cute boxes at the dollar store.
Especially just after Xmas and before Valentine's Day.
Get one with some snowflakes or smthg. Your buyer is more likely to remember you and buy from you again.
Stock up, too.
Sometimes they have them in 3, 4 and 6 packs :)
