What is your experience? Are they doing better than you? Worse than you? I had a rough time in school and I felt like a misfit there +big surprise+ :D. I felt like in a freezer where it was impossible to evolve. Now I see all these old people and it feels weird.
A lot are retreating from things that aren't echoing their own sentiments, more so than 10 years ago, and it seems like everyone's trying to find their "special something" that validates that they are successful through being unique.
My Little Pony essentially captured the phenomenon with their "Cutie Marks".
I can't even do this cos homeschooled. My classmates are my sibs
Hah.
A lot of them have kids, married young, and are now working blue collar jobs. Except the kids from the rich neighborhood on the hill. Most of them either graduated college or joined their family's business. A lot of girls I know became nurses or medical assistants. Not a lot of opportunity in my hometown, but the super genius kid works for NASA and just bought a 3.5 million dollar mansion.
I feel like I fall somewhere in the middle success wise of my peers. I havent had any kids, I'm clean from drugs, I have an Associate's degree which is more college experience than 70% of my class. I'm happy tho and I'm not trying to shill MLMs to anyone.
I think the most successful kids from my class now are the few from the rich neighborhood who became doctors, and the few country kids who learned extremely specialized skills, like horse breeding and taming, or becoming partner-owners of their family corn farm.
What is an associates degree? Masters?
2 year program, Bachelor's is 4 year. Masters depends.
I'm working on my Bachelor's, but covid has put things on pause
