Draft of a letter I planned to text to Alice's sister on June 1st, but never sent.
Can I ask for your advice on something? It is about Alice, I am worried about her.
Alice and I had agreed that she would call the specialist today to make an appointment but she slept all day until the office closed. It is very hard to coinvince her to do something she does not want to do, even for her health. I think she let her phone battery die so she wouldnt have to talk to anyone about it, and she may be mad that I'm texting you about it
I think she is is scared of having to spend time in the hospital again so she is trying to avoid the situation. When I try to bring up her making an appointment she doesnt want to talk about it and leaves the room. I'm trying to be sensitive to her feelings on the subject, but the doctor did confirm something was wrong and she needs treatment. I can't physically force her to make an appointment and go, It took 2 months for me to convince her to go to urgent care. She doesnt want me talking to you guys about this because she doesn't want to address the problem, but I am very worried about her and I'm not sure how to convince her to make this appointment.
