 The only reason Germany was not sliced into tiny parts and given to the neighboring countries after WWII was exactly because they knew that you guys were money makers. In exchange for Germany future, they would have to supply EU whenever they needed, like it happens nowadays.

And let's be honest, Hitler confiscated a lot of wealth illegaly from citizen and many Germans made money over those people expenses. Maybe in a 100 years from now, things will be changed and people will see WWII like something more ancient.

Hmm... I don't see contemporary Germans as the bad guys.

I've met good and bad Germans. More good than bad bc most of them were teachers who worked with my kids. I had one obnoxious old school German landlord with all the grudges against single mothers, and I knew a few who called me lazy when I was temporarily out of work. But for the most part, the Germans I meet online and at school were quite progressive. They tend to have an eye catching fashion sense, and some kick ass music has been coming out of that country over the last 40 years. Actually, now that I think of it, Germany has always been renowned for its gifted composers.

I could even find it in my heart to forgive the broken group of 6300(ish) Nazis who survived their ordeal at Stalingrad. The Russians made them pay and pay and pay for what they did, and the tear streaked old men who spoke on one of my favourite WWII documentaries were thoroughly convincing when they said they were sorry.

Most of the nasty ones who did all that horrible stuff during the war are dead.

But who knows? I'm not everybody.

The way I understood the consensus, Merkel took a lot of shit from the rest of the EU for letting all those immigrants into the EU in 2015. So it looked to me like Germany was getting attacked for being too inclusive, not for being too racist.

Idk much about contemporary attitudes toward the reunification of East and West.

Judging from  ^^  the thoughts expressed in that particular vid, and its popularity, one could surmise that a good number of Germans born after the Berlin Wall went up are ambivalent about a good number of things pertaining to their national identity, and their pride in themselves as a people.

One of my favourite countries is Germany; fine people, great architecture and strong beer.

Listen, pay no mind to what you think you know about WW2 as its nothing but communist propaganda. Look into the firebombing of Dresden... That's a real war crime. 

Do you think i give a fuck about that, i admire the german war machine, doesnt mean im a nazi, and it doesnt mean ive fell for a simple ploy, just stating my case. They were not wrong, just misguided.
