Yes make sure the tires on the car have good traction. Going up hill in snow = sliding backwards

Or sometimes people just accidentally drive off the mountain by not realizing their tires on one side of the road were hanging too close to the edge

the higher you go there is more fog especially early morning and night plus no lights at night and heavy snow sometimes

it’s a recipe for disaster ontop of the narrow steep winding “roads” which is basically just compacted snow

also black ice or sliding on ice in general on vehicles is a thing

so while going up and down the mountain in a vehicle go slow

and if it’s too steep or too narrow don’t risk it. One time for us a woman who was driving deciddd to risk it on a road too steep and narrow and the car started sliding backwards

I acted quickly and jumped out of the car onto the road and everyone else slid down the mountain backwards into a tree

they’re very lucky it did not slide off the side of the Mountain tumbling to their death and that a tree blocked them from doing so.

but yeah, she totaled that car by being too willing to take risks.

if it’s too difficult, you’re better off just parking it at the bottom of the steep hill and then walking up it

bring a good pair of snow boots that can really grip into the snow or the terrain it will make you less likely to slip or twist an ankle

also don’t leave food out. It turns you into a bear trap.

and a lot of people don’t know this but running in freezing temperatures can cause internal bleeding in the lungs and sudden death

so don’t run in freezing conditions

don’t try to step on frozen rivers/lakes. Even if it seems solid, it might not be. Hypothermia sucks.

And lastly altitude sickness is a thing so educate yourself about the symptoms and bring along anti-nausea patches and medications to take for it and vomiting and also for vertigo and other types of dizziness. People who aren’t used to it and who go from a low to a high very quickly may experience the symptoms and even hallucinations

I’d you are planning on skiing sledding or snowboarding, Persue at your own risk.

if it’s on designated slopes this is better than doing it in a rustic area just haphazardly.

With sledding if you don’t weight the sled properly you might experience complications and end up crashing

If you’re not naturally a bit athletic and well coordinated and have poor vision slow reflexes and muscle twitch or are weak, clumsy, out of shape. Then I don’t recommend you attempt the slopes

you could end up seriously hurting yourself.

but if you are the kind of person who don’t have a hard time on ice skates and is very athletically inclined, you don’t have a hard time exercising. Then perhaps look at a few introductory courses online on bodily form to use while skiing and keep in mind to balance your weight and keep your chest up at all times

once you let your chest go down, you’re going down too.

it’s sort of a mind game, skiing is. The more confident you are in your ability, the easier it is.

but if you freak out and are very uncertain, this will affect your physical form and you’ll lose control and balance and end up twisting your knee cap.

just glide with the snow. The skis always point the same direction together. Keep them parallel like Kit Kat bars always!

And use the damn sticks

Ideally park car in garage

but please uh, dont leave food in your fucking carrrr

the bears someh9w smell it and want to break in.

There’s a lot of wildlife. Mainly like raccoons but.

Dont leave ur doors and windows open to the outside the wildlife will come in. Especially while you’re cooking bacon on the stove. Lol

If you are new to skiing don’t skii black diamond. Start on the bunny hill and then try green run.

Wear sun screen. A lot of people don’t think u need it because it is cold. This is not true. The snow reflects UV rays and you still get burnt and red. Wear face protection and googles/hat and scarf to prevent this. Ear muffs. Wearing thermal layers under your skii clothes and parka is crucial.

And of course gloves. Your hands and feet will probably go numb so be prepared for the burning sensation when they’re re-adjusting to indoor heat temps.

And another skiing tip is bend your fucking knees. And when you swoop to the left, sit down like you are putting your butt weight into the bend. And keep the sticks forward. And then swoop to the right doing the same motion. That is how you don’t fall. And then to stop at the end you just do like a quick stop in hockey.

If you are falling though, the best thing you can do is just sit down. This will prevent you from injuring your knees. And you will stop wobbling around and losing control and losing balance, because your center of gravity is now very low. You will regain control. And start just going down straight down like that. And ride the rest of the it out crouching down. So your butt is basically close to touching the back of your legs. Chest tot he knees.

And if uyou do fall. Don’t try to get back up on your skis. Ever. T his is how you continue to fall and fall or get an injury very bad or get tangled up in your skis. It’s a mess.

Always unlock your feet from you skis. Then place them down in the snow facing the correct direction. Then lock your feet back in, and take off from there in a smooth place.

Don’t look at the trees on the side, focus and look where your ant to go and that is where youi will go. If you look at the trees, that is where you will go and you will hit the tree or just go off course tot he sides into the trees. And then you get stuck.

There isn’t good cell service int he mountains so always tell someone you are going to be on the slope. So that way if for some reason you do get stuck (it happens) they will send someone to look for you and help you get down in an emergency stretcher. This is what happens when you get injured etc.

and last but not least. When you get off the fucking slope drop off thing, don[t do it too soon. You will miss the point where you get off, and fall into a big net (hopefully). But it’s still quite a drop and pretty scary, and quite a hassle because some staff has to go get you out of the net.

Always take with you some anti-inflammatory  because u may get head aches from. How bright the sun is reflecting off the snow (wear good sunglasses), or you may get some tightness and pain in ur chest. The Motrin or ibuprofen will stop this pain in 30 minutes.

And stay fuckin hydrated.

And don’t eat the snow, dont drink the river water, and be careful what plants you touch. Poisonous plants are just chillin everywhere in the mountains.

If you do go hunting, dont split up because then youre more likely to get shot by the other person on accident;.

Hundreds of frozen bodies are used as mile markers in the Himalayas.

Sc is pretty boring.
