So, a lot of makeup brands are now doing PR searches through social media.
(PR Search: Looking for talented makeup artists to promote their products on social media for them, by sending them literally all the makeup the brand makes- a makeup junkie dream come true)
It creates a lot of buzz and hype surrounding a brand when they kick one off, which obviously generates free advertising and marketing, and revenue for the brand.
Makeup twitter: the side of twitter that literally is all just MUA's/ aspiring MUA's posting their looks
So, whenever a brand kicks off a PR search they enlist in makeup twitter to submit their looks, and whoever has the best looks is more likely to be selected to receive the ever so coveted PR! AKA heaps of free ass makeup + promotion from the brand (in turn for you promoting them and their products- for free).
I find it comical when I come across people who entered in the search who clearly can't do makeup at all (yet). You're scrolling through pages and pages of talent and amazing work, each artist has, years of developing skill and knowledge under their belt- trying to be not the best but the most excellent makeup artist out there.
And then you see this.
And it's kind of amusing.
So without further ado, The hilariously bad submissions, of makeup twitter. An ever-growing list, I assure you.
the faces they make are always really funny too
