So I was just listening to this track and it got me thinking about how ideas don't always escape the mind intact. Something about the nice guitar melody glitching out and failing to come through completely, it's like a profound thought but you can't say it right so it ends up coming out all garbled.

Isn't it odd how humans can articulate the most amazing things in their head yet all the same be so poor at actually externalizing the idea? It's like there's some kind of filter between our minds and our tongue. Perhaps people find it difficult to fully express their unfiltered inner world out of fear for rejection.

Maybe that isn't a bad thing, because oftentimes one's inner world is far too dark and depraved for the outside world to handle, but why? We all have bad thoughts, after all. Why be so shocked when they come out of others?

I guess it all boils down to that old enemy of ours, that torments so many of us and everybody around- the dark lord named insecurity.

Would the world be a better place if we all expresses our inner world as it actually is? Would it be worse?

Some would say the internet answers the question. If so, it's the latter and humanity is clearly depraved. But maybe not. For don't we all project false images of ourselves online, simultaneously out to impress others and make ourselves be powerful? Isn't it enough to just be?

Is it possible that the persona isn't needed, That we can express these ideas without the filter of our insecurities tainting them?

Perhaps, but perhaps man isn't ready to accept himself.
