Kant does believe that it is paramount to believe in God, so feasibly it would be a way to meet Kant and ask him yourself.

(1) Kants writing style is horrible, (2) he makes up a lot of words, and (3) there's a context he is writing within.
Reading third party is the best start imo because it negates (1) and fills you in on (2) and (3).
