Axe reminds me of junior year of high school I went to a party and these guys were spraying axe on their hands and lighting it on fire 

Ex-girlfriend scents are a bit of a mind fuck. 

I mostly have olfactory associations for times of my life with the food that was around during it, but beyond that it's mostly a matter of boring utility, a reference of patterns. 

My sense of smell is severely lacking. Usually I pick up rotting things, and that's not a great transporter. I think I can make an exception for incenses. I never lit an incense in poor spirits.

I just realized I'm in such a brain fog waking up that I didn't even answer the question.

Incense reminds me of a time where I was living in an efficiency apartment in a college town. Things were pretty simple back then, all I cared about was getting to work on time and when my next research chemical would arrive. There wasn't a worry in the world.

smell of fuel reminds me of childhood (i used to inhale to get high as a kid b4 switch to diesel)
