we could start an r/thegirlsroom
and then make a coordinating discord server to go with it
In today’s world, if you say something to upset someone else, you risk the chance of getting banned.
I think it's more about how you say it more than what's being said.
Delivery is important.
I said Kylie Jenner has no talent or skills and I have been banned. I FUCKING HATE REDDIT. CAN WE GET A BIGGER MAKEUP COMMUNITY ON SC ALREADY JESUS FUCKING CHRIST
(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
lol why the fuck would we want a 'makeup community'?
Have you never explored things like stage makeup?
It's an art form.
For the 38th time.
You don't read well and your memory is shit.
I addressed your 'whataboutitis' in my first post bc I knew you'd jump in with that.
I said HOW MANY OF THOSE PEOPLE ACTUALLY MAKE ENOUGH MONEY AT IT FOR IT TO BECOME AN SC subCOMMUNITY?
Also, I went to modelling school in my youth, remember?
They weren't able to make me give enough fucks about makeup and beauty products to want to turn them into little 'communities' either.
But you never would have known it while I was in class :D
Again. They're just a tool required to do a job.
So no, I'm not interested in any 'screwdriver communities' or 'snow shovel communities' thx
Ofc we're talking about an SC community, so I guess they could just talk about imaginary makeup like they do with everything else.
Imaginary spouses, imaginary jobs, imaginary vaginas on dudes' bodies.
Creating imaginary personalities and histories for most of the members here lol
Why would an SC makeup party be any different.
Y'all could just sit around and imagine what purple and black or blue and coral would look like on a palette together, and use imaginary brushes to put it on like some girls do when they're 4 :D
To buy the makeup that they talk about in their hypothetical community?
So wait, do you mean make enough money in the makeup arts, or make enough money to afford makeup?
Um... both?
Being a broke artist/makeup guru/youtuber/actor are all kinda the same to me.
I mean, doesn't everybody want to be creative and flap their fairy wings around so ppl will look at them?
But only a teensy percentage actually have what it takes to do anything with those aspirations.
My favourite aspiration came from a friend of my daughter's when they were both 10.
The kid wanted to be an orthodontist :D I love that. I studied archaeology and I frikkin hate teeth. It was sort of a joke bc that's most of what archaeologists look at when they're on a dig. The teeth are what survive the aeons when everything else rots, and the teeth were the best identifiers before DNA testing. You could not pay me enough to poke around in ppl's funky, deformed, distorted faces. Just ew. So my classmates thought that little quirk of mine was hilarious.
But a 10 year old who wants to be an orthodontist instead of a singer or a pony fairy or w/e little kids dream about these days... I thought that was adorable :D
I'd wager money that she's wealthier now than any of her singing, dancing, pony fairy friends will ever be :D

That's like having a 'pencil community' or a 'toilet brush community.'
Makeup is a tool, like a toothbrush or a pot scrubber.
Once you've learned the basics of how to use it, it becomes quite boring.
Only teenage girls, drag queens, and the ppl who get rich off them give enough actual fucks about it to tryta turn it into a 'community.'
I haven't bothered with makeup in years.
Actors are an exception. But how many ppl actually make enough money as actors to pay for all the extra makeup, anyway?
