networking

Always liked this buzzword. How do people do it? I would like to know some powerful people etc and maybe I could even reach them in my position etc. Doctors, psychiatrists, judges, policemen etc but how do people actually stay in contact etc. Recently I just tried to keep in touch with 3 different acquaintances but it seemed soooo much work. Just from the time and energy etc. I wonder how people can have a big network. These people weren't even sooo high etc I Jürgen thought irit would b cool to know more people to go to clubs with etc. Btt even that seemed very tiresome. Even asking them every week how they r or if they want to geab a beer sometime etc seemed sooo tiresome. How do ppl do it I know like 2 people and these r my only friends here where I live. From my personality etc I could have more but I find it is a huge investment of time and energy. Btt other people have similar schedules etc and they do it. How is it even possible

I want a network. But I can't really have a public internet profile.

is this how you chase women, too? clearly something is off in your approach

if you're putting in so much time, energy and effort and you don't get results then maybe its time to re evaluate. linkedin is a great tool for networking, but what do you have to offer? its more of an avenue for people to reach you at.

you must have an added value and seek out people that align with it, don't just network for the sake of gaining powerful friends. your approach is shit, and your intentions are insincere. Networking is done by being interesting and people will come to you and you will have to put in less effort.

what do you even need a network for btw, you power hungry?

Good input, chimpi. Always knew and told you you are special, no Homo. Personally, I do not think I am power hungry in the sense of how people would use the word. I have some desires related to power, such as the desire not to be controlled by others. Behind this is a great learning history with many character shaping experiences. I do not have strong delusions of being better than others in some fundamental sense. I do not have the desire to humiliate or control people. In relation to people's capacity I genuinely always try to empower them within it and this is what makes me happy. I cannot successfully reject that on some really deep level this may be an expression of exerting and demonstrating one's power in some way. Life granting and influencing others in a positive sense could be seen as an expression of potency and thus power. So there may be an underlying principle or even issue that at this point I do not want to completely deny. What is very important is, that I do not think it is malicious in general. Malevolence is also there, but not indifferently. It is subject to characteristics of individuals and protects me.

Just to clarify the topic intent. I do not have problems finding friends and are not socially inhibited or so. I can see how my posting could be understood in this way, but I was wondering more about the technical aspects of networking. LinkedIn so far was the best suggestion. I was hoping to hear other strategies of keeping in touch with a lot of people with a small amount of effort, that does not involve having a public internet presence.

lol join the freemasonry unironically? plenty of professors, businesspeople and even law enforcement officials are freemasons

more lowkey, maybe consider joining a travel club of sorts. There's paid entry and they hold events around the world, perfect for networking. I think you should step away from trying to reach higher-ups and first expand your network. Eventually you'll meet someone who's uncle works at the European Commission or something and before you know it Ursula Von Der Leyen is twerking on your german cock like it's 1975
